RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities are given to him on whom trust rests. Responsibility is always a sign of trust.  Everyone has our own responsibilities. And they are given to those who are perfect to the task that God assigned to them. Those great leaders and heroes have the greatest responsibilities among us that are connected to the people under them. Responsibility is affiliated with decision-making. And that is the hardest part in life.
Have you been in the situation where you are to choose between your family and your responsibility? I think nowadays those cases are not prominent anymore. But I know two great persons of their time who have been in this situation. And they are Aeneas from Aeneid and Hector from Iliad.
As the Troy was falling, Aeneas wants to avenge and he wants to go in a battle against the Greeks to defend their race. But his wife, Creusa begged him to stay and save his own family’s life first. Seeing his wife acting that way made him flee with his wife and set aside his revenge. On the other hand, Hector from the book of Iliad just like Aeneas needs to be in a battle as one of his responsibility. He is to go in a battle with Achilles. And just like Creusa, Andromache the wife of Hector tried to stop his husband to be in the battle. He asked Hector to be in her side because if he dies in the battle she will be left alone and also their son Astyanax. Even though Hector loves his family so much, but he still insist in going in the battle and chose his duty for his fellowmen.
Both of the two heroes have been in the tough situation where they are to choose between family and fulfilling their task. Both of them were prevented from involving themselves in danger by their wives but they made a different choice. Aeneas chose his family than doing his duty while Hector chose his responsibility of protecting his fellowmen than the safety of his family.
Both of their decisions were right and they just did what they think was right. It is really hard to have a great obligation and responsibilities that’s why there is a saying that” Responsibilities are given to him on whom trust rests. Responsibility is always a sign of trust. ”

I Feel Sympathy for Aeneas.

Imagine Aeneas narrating to you the hardships that he and the Trojans experienced. Wouldn't you feel sorry for them? As Aeneas told the story of their fall in book I, I feel pity and sympathy for them. Everyone knows how hard it feels to be away from your homeland, but it is more difficult to be away with no chance of coming back because it is totally destroyed. But even though there is sympathy I am also amazed by their determination especially to Aeneas, because even though there are lots of disaster that they experienced he still encourage everyone to stay strong because he knew that there is an end for all their misfortune and sufferings. He didn't stop fighting to survive because he has a great faith to their gods and goddesses which made them successful in their journey. Even though I know that behind their sufferings, they will find and build a new home in Rome I still feel sympathy for them. Just like in every story even though the readers know that there is an end from the distress that the main character is feeling, they still feel pity for them. As what Aeneas felt during their journey, he lose his wife, father, and friends but still he strive for the sake of his comrades.

GATE OF PUNISHMENT

Think about it, before you do it. As a CNSHS student, waking up early in the morning is a must in order to be at the school at the right time. Aside from that, still there are other rules and regulations that students need to follow. One day when I was on my way to school riding on my bicycle, I saw a bunny passed my way. My head follow the direction of the bunny until I lose my balance and fell from my bike. I felt something hit my head and then I fell asleep. When I woke up I was already in front o our school. I went near the gate and it automatically opened and I was surprised about it. The schools really looks different there is only one building with seven floors. Then I saw a man coming towards me. Then I realized that it was Dante Alighieri. I was so happy and I asked for his autograph. He told me that we need to enter each room of that building and so I followed him. When we entered the first room, I saw that the students here were given heavy task due to not speaking in English which is a rule violation. The students need to write 100 essays in English in able to go out of that room. After that Mr. Alighieri told me that we need to ride the elevator to go the second floor. At the second floor, students that were punished here were the cheaters. The students here need to answer man test as thick as the Websters dictionary and not the pocket ones. I also saw that beside their desk were tissue box and some tissue papers used with some blood on it. Students can’t really cheat here because there were CCTV cameras that was monitored by Sir Ces. That floor was really funny XD. Then at the third floor, the bullies were located. I saw that there were no chairs and tables in that room and their floor was not tiles. All the students here were sitting on the floor the whole day while attending the class. They were so busy that can’t even chat with their seatmates. Well it’s pitiful, but I need to move on to the next floor. On this floor, students were very busy. They were task to do many things like projects, home works, seat works, exercises, quizzes and many more. They were all doing these in a long table and the the end of the table was a very big and noisy clock. Everyone was really pressured but I think that it was a good way of how they can make these students be responsible. Moving on to the fifth floor, I saw that all the students here were quiet with their head down. They were sitting in a circular for and I saw Ma’am Pareja guarding them angrily. They were tasked to write promissory note. After seeing those scene I hurriedly run to the elevator and went up. I was really scared because I am also committing this violation. At the sixth floor, I saw that Sir Tom was there. And from that I already know what kind of students were here. They are those who don’t wear the uniform in proper uniform. They really experienced how strict Sir Tom was. They were punished by doing many things like jumping jacks, running, push-ups and many more. Then at the last floor, I realized that I was enjoying this trip. Not because I can see that others were suffering, but because I was with Dante Alighieri. Anyway, in this room the students were guarded by Ma’am De Vera and two other teachers. Students here were also tasked to do many things because I heard that they are the lazy ones. They are doing many things and still they need to pass it on the same day. After that we went out of the building and out of the campus. I was about to asked why I was here but when I look around Mr. Alighieri was not there already. I read what was written at the arch of the gate “Gate of Punishment”. Then suddenly I felt someone knocking at my head and when I woke up, someone was just knocking at the door of my room
